Simon Palmer

Presented on the first floor of the gallery, we are proud to present paintings of the Yorkshire landscape by artist, Simon Palmer.

Returning to his studio, he produces landscapes from small sketches and memory which are then titled by referencing detailed maps. The majesty of the Yorkshire Dales have influenced many artists, but Simon has found inspiration in painting the parochial and incidental. His paintings capture the changing seasons with a romantic and tender eye.
