Dennis Creffield took deep inspiration from poet and artist William Blake. He created a series of works based upon the famed poem 'Jerusalem', which included several figurative studies of dancing figures, landscapes and portraits of Blake. With wonderful, dynamic line and movement in each work, Creffield's interpretation of the poem expresses both the physical and spiritual energy he felt from Blake's writing. Speaking of his practice he stated, 'I allowed Blake to encourage me to be more wild'.
