Chloë Lamb

Overview
"We’re often inclined to think of the world around us in binaries; in art there’s a tendency to distinguish between figurative and abstract. At a first glance, this exhibition might tempt viewers to prescribe this dichotomy to the works, but I encourage them to see beyond that. I don’t feel this juxtaposition. In fact, recently I’ve been considering the relationship between people, trees, plants, colours, shapes, and spaces. I believe that all physical things are connected through their interaction with each other and in this latest body of work I explore this on the canvas. Imagining, depicting and resolving this is a constant challenge that I find endlessly absorbing."

Portland Gallery is delighted to announce an exhibition of recent paintings by Chloë Lamb taking place in May 2026. The show, which contains over 40 new works, is our sixth exhibition with Chloë having first shown her paintings in 2018.
