Yellow Tulips was a particular favourite of Feddens, and was known to hang on display in her studio. The oil was selected for a major retrospective of Mary's works at the Royal West of England Academy in 2011, which was the last significant public exhibition before her death in 2012. Mary took an active role in the selection process of the works included in the exhibition.
