This colourful oil was created between 1990-92, when Ingham resided on The Lizard in Cornwall: a location he depicted on several occasions, particularly in his later years. The combination of naïve houses and boats in the landscape, combined with the abstracted still life recalls the strong influences of Cubist artist Georges Braques, and St Ives artists Ben Nicholson and Alfred Wallis on the artist's practice.
