Marzia Colonna: A Sense of Wonder

Portland Gallery is delighted to show a presentation of new works by Marzia Colonna. In this latest exhibition, Colonna's exploration of construction in both bronze and paper has resulted in over fifty artworks. 

Marzia's mixed media collages and sculptures utilise juxtapositions of colour and form to re-create the experience of sensations: walking by the sea or in the woods, or of a body touched. Physical and instinctive, her aim is to capture the moment, not only in the visual sense, but in a way that encompasses her feelings about the subject matter.
